Nightmare

Nightmare

A Poem by Zall
"

Every wake up, feeling as if you are being watched, but when you open your eyes, there is nobody there?

"

Nightmare
I am there when you are sleeping,
But me you can not see,
I know I can not harm you,
But in your dreams I will surly be,
You twist in turn every night,
As if something has given you a fright,
I will tell you right now,
That thing is always me,
I stand at the foot of your bed,
And hear your silent screams,
They may not come out verbally,
But I know they are formed by me,
A silent shadow falls over the sheets,
But the figure you can not see,
For every night you twist and turn,
And I know it is all from me.

Sorry if it's bad. Just a thought on nightmares and going from the nightmare's point of view, makeing the nightmare almost real. That's what I was going for anyway. =/

I liked it. I think it is great that I began to see the dark shadow smiling down on the restless girl with a menacing smile. Congradulating itself on a successful night's work. Finding nothing but sheer enjoyment in the tortured, incoherent screams of the sleeping girl. Dark and still able to keep an innocent and happy touch, though I don't understand how. I will suggest moving forward with this peice, making a little more out of it as time passes. There clearly is some darkness in you and if you focus that on one peice of writing I would bet that it would be one powerful peice. Great job.

I Think you have conveyed the idea of a nightmare as an entity that lives seperately on some other plane of existance and when a person sleeps, it steps close and smoothers us like a shadowy blanket.

Nightmares are a hard topic to write about as every person seems to have a different take on what they may look like or how they effect. Yet you have done well with this peice as it was kept simple and open to a myriad of different interpretations.

Two Thumbs Up!

Hugs!
