A Poem by C. J. Potter
"

And when it breaks can a simple knot fix it?

"
My heart is on a thread and you are the needle.
Pulling pieces of this and that together trying to make sense of it all.
Your heart belongs to another who is pulling at your thread so tightly it is breaking,
Weakening and fraying at the edges.
And when it breaks can a simple knot fix it?
Can I be your knot to fix it?

I like the question that is asked here, "Can a simple knot fix it". I think this can be asked of many of us, however the writer here has a heart on the thread, waiting. I feel the confusion, and the waiting for the love of one who is in heartbreak over another. This is a piece that many of us can read and say, yes I have been there, and in not many words really get that emotion across. I like how, simple is not the word I am looking for, but it does not contain "fluff". It portrays the message clearly and eloquently. Lovely write.
