The End

The End

A Poem by Zeldablue
"

Finally Moving On

"
Blazing Blue Sapphires
you stand before me,
your lifeless eyes
frantically searching my
soul for any signs of life.
But it's empty.
My body,
 a hollow shell,
only there to hold the
the remnants of what you
left behind.
My heart, an automatic
response to the life I
am breathing.
But you.

Your demons whisper
the sweet nothings
of your unchangeable thoughts
in my ear.
My eyes fill with the
salty memories of the way you
pretended to care.
You told me you would never lie
to me.
But you did.
Ever so slightly.
Ever so cleverly.
Ever so beautifully.

Your words,
a jumbled mess,
rolled so effortlessly
off your tongue.
You were like a riddle
I could never figure out.
I realize now,
that you and I were
never meant to be,
I hope someday the voice that
screams  all the "bad" things
you hate about yourself
that I loved about you
fades away.
I Love You,
Always.
But even angles know when
it's time to fly away,
when you give them no
more reasons to stay.
