Dream a little Dream

Dream a little Dream

A Poem by Dimples
"

Sometimes when life becomes too much a dream becomes the refuge we need to carry on.

"

Can I dream a little dream

and let my mind be free

Close my eyes and lift away

 all the sorrow covering me

Can I fly and float and free myself

 from heavy-hearted days

And bask and bathe and revel once more

 in life's kinder days

Can I think not thoughts that hold my mind

 and keep my spirit bound

Depart myself and free my soul

 for now it's heaven bound

I'll melt and flow and fly to the sky

 and fall back down again

Wail and moan and cry and mourn

 my beginning and my end

Dream, think not your soul will be free

 and cares will drift away

On a cloud, puff of smoke, raging river, raindrop

 never to come again

But souls do tire and home they come

 and dreams will fade away

Yet floating and falling my soul will still call

for me to dream my life away.
