"The Mysterious Celebrity"

"The Mysterious Celebrity"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"The Mysterious Celebrity"

I walk onto the red carpet.
The world is my set.
All eyes on me,
Exclaiming "Who is she?"

I strut like a pop star.
The paparazzi are my stalkers.
My perfect face is a mask,
And my perfect figure is a cast.

My corpse is filled with plastic,
And my limbs are laced with elastics.
He ate my heart so now I am free.
Then I became The Mysterious Celebrity.

I liked this one a lot, I just took it as a bashing of the red carpet and its obssesively pathetic ways...anyways...

PROS: great flow, great rhyming, love the simplicity of it and its ability to still say a lot.

CONS: none that I can think of.

Thanks and keep it up!

Very mysterious meaning, I must say. I thought it was intriguing. I enjoyed reading your poem. Thanks for sharing.

What allure draws us to focus on celebrities? Whatever it is will always be around. I can't pass by the grocery stand without getting my scoop. What a bright and shiny poem, full of Hollywood glamour!
