Did You Hear That?

Been trying to write something dark

I slit your throat

With red cascades

I heard you scream

 

How did you do that?

 

You were supposed to be dead

I was sure

But no I guess you weren’t happy with that

The cops found me

 

Why the hell did you do that?

 

I could have gotten away with it

Poured gas on you and burned the evidence

Washed away sin in blood and burned in fire

I could have been happy!!!

 

Why can’t you see that?

 

You are so selfish and have been from the start

But you can still fix it

If you can still scream, you can still talk

Tell them it was suicide and I’ll forgive you

 

Will you do that?

 

NO! You deny everything

They deny everything

They tell me you didn’t scream, that you were dead

Apparently I screamed………I remember

 

You were dead

I did kill you

And in my pleasure,

I screamed….

This is great! I love the twist you made, where you lived in the illusion of killing the otger person and you thought your screams were theirs. Quite melancholy actually. I really loved this piece. Good job!
