Insufferable to gentle to Insufferable brute!

Insufferable to gentle to Insufferable brute!

A Poem by Zypy Kirubi

Insufferable to gentle to Insufferable brute!
Bantering remarks flying back and forth between us
Clamoring for supremacy,
Each word, a deliberate thrust of a sword
To his fresh, to my fresh

Then...

A gentle smile
A flicker of tenderness
In his eyes, In his voice
chilling the blood in my veins,
Capturing my heart!
Drumming pulse, so hard, against my temples
Leaving me with nothing else to say
Except, 'I'm sorry'

Then...

His rath, drawing quick, not inclining to my apology
His glance of contempt, sliding down the length of me
Disregarding my feelings,
Sending sensations of scorching flames licking my body.
Insufferable to gentle to Insufferable brute!
