Hanging Tree

Hanging Tree

A Poem by a-decaying-soul

i stand here, waiting for yesterday
waiting for you to unleash a warm embrace,
but I'm afraid; the darkness has taken you away
to a spiralling oblivion of a place

I feel your whisper,
as the wind blows through the trees
trapping your kisses
where they used to awake upon my sleeve

your gentle touch revisits
fingertips pressing and caressing my facial features
you always said my eyes catches beauty amidst
yet they have lacked security ever since

i wish to join you soon
so we can again reconcile affection
my fate waits along the hanging tree
the place where my rope awaits me

i will meet you soon my love,
meanwhile, i will let you be
don't forget me
