Nia at the piano

Nia at the piano

A Poem by aLittlePain
"

....

"

Sometimes when we wait silently
and long she drifts into a perfect little song
where ivory keys dance intricately
upon wistful notes
from small and perfect voice.

There is a part that is
her innermost heart.

And she says always that the music,
sings of all the small brave tempest-wearied
wings that seek a trackless way
over the sea to some shore far away
in her memory
that weakens, and falters, and fails,
and drops in the foam
and never reaches home.

She says it is their courage and
their fear and their unwavering faith.
All she hears is a little girl with sea green eyes
a face purer than the first sunrise,
calling … the voice of Nia.

This part genuinely swept me away, wow Rach. A stunning piece in its entirety, you use words to paint pictures that come out flawlessly, to me. To reference popular music, the title and the first stanza played the pivotal role of the hook, and you did nothing short of it!

Excellent, sis. xo

Wonderful poem, Rach. I can picture this like I was sitting in the room. The imagination of children is pure and unadulterated, until life changes it. The lucky ones retain a bit of that ability into adulthood,

You are welcome dear friend.
The soapy keys sliding through the strings as neonic pinnacle, the soft and silk in the spirit that comes across the music alters the ambient around. Oh, the delight a soul can recieve if the ears happen to open in the moment.

Beautifully poetic response. Thank you.
This is beautiful Rach. What a lovely thought, that the sounds and voices are born and brought to us, kissing our lives and moving on, yet they stay with us, in such beautiful thoughts as this.
