Very short and quick chapter.

Chrissy is getting impatient with me.

Chrissy looked up from her lap-top and sighed. “I'm bored!” she said.

Ian set his novel down and looked at her. “Yeah... me, too,” he replied.

“There's nothing happening!” she said impatiently.

“No,” he agreed, “Nothing's happening.”

“That guy needs to do something!” she said with annoyance.

“What guy?”

“That author guy you keep talking about. The one that's supposedly writing our story.”

“Oh. That guy.”

“Yeah! That guy! He needs to get busy and start writing again!”

Ian shrugged. “Maybe he has writer's-block. Or maybe he's got something else going on right now.”

“More important than us?!” she asked derisively.

He shrugged again.

Chrissy looked up toward the ceiling and called out to no one in particular, “Hey! Write something for Christ's sake, will you?! I'm going stir crazy here!”

(Patience, Chrissy... patience)

Author's Note

I have put the story of Ian and Chrissy on hold as I prepare for an upcoming art festival. It got me to wondering what happens to them when I'm not writing.

it's so cool how you got the characters to talk to you. the characters are well fleshed out and need to be put out there. we get to see what's in the minds of characters we abandoned. they haunt me as well. it's good you expressed it succinctly. great job.
