The Ancient Tree

The Ancient Tree

A Poem by disconnectedspirit
"

Ancient trees and why they last.

"

The Roots

Planted in the fertile soil,

Flourishing underneath,

Its' roots spread deep,

A solid lasting foundation.

The roots of a tree that thrives this long is planted with loving hands and rooted deeply to spread and grow.

The Growth

Branches of thickest bark,

Lined with green leaves,

Blossoms grow in between,

Fruits and nuts burst life.

A tree will only have the greenest growth with deep roots connected to fertile land.
