Place where you are none

Place where you are none

A Poem by Lexi Wolf
"

A poem with no rhyme. Simply how I am feeling.

"

Destroying something beautiful never felt so comforting

If I was to run, further, faster, harder

Would my lips freeze over, would my glimmer die out

If I was to push everything out of my chest, would something fight back

Would you fight for me or let me slip away

Would you look back

Would you taste my absence

Would you feel me missing

I wonder down the road alone

Always with my dark shadow

The sun is shining

The sun is my friend

I'm not afraid as long as you're gone

I wonder if having you vanish would serve me well

I wonder if having you none would make me feel safe once again

I am broken

I am gone

Run, run, run

Don't look back little girl

Don't fear loss

You've nothing left

You're gone, not them

It's safe in the darkness

Come

Come into the darkness

Into isolation

Where nothing lies, where nothing hides as there is nothing to be hidden

So tempting

So tempted

This place is safe

This place inside me

This place where you are none
