what i see when i see you is amazing

amazing that i can be near you when i fear you could care less

amazing that your next to me.

my words hurt.

i will stay silent to hear you breath

what will tomorrow bring?

what will next week bring?

you finding someone else.

you realizing i can't be your dream

that someone else you seek out is beside you.

but i'm still standing next to you.

if i reach out for your hand will you take mine?

will it be cold to the touch or like fire?'

will it burn your soul or only graze the flesh?

a year has made it's way through.

another year, another day

another life awaits

completely alone i am waiting for you to show me the way.

completely alone you left me in the rain.

cold to the bone, cold to the core

that eternal flame has been tortured to nothing

am i nothing or something more than just a girl?

am i too weak to tell you what i feel?

words to hard to choke out.

i don't want to lie.

i want to sing them, to praise the soul that gave them meaning.

but you turn your head

smile once more and take someone else's hand

i felt that night.

should you be proud that you were the only boy that made me cry?

it was pain, true and dear, a bittersweet feeling.

at least i know i can feel.

when will i feel that way again?

is it soon?

i want not

life burns an eternal hole into my heart. it will not heal nor will it let me rest.
