Reina de las Flores

Reina de las Flores

A Poem by Jodash
"

Selenicereus grandiflorus

"
Sun seasoned
Ephemeral spirit

His eyes have seen her
Down by the serene water
is where she meditates
Under a lunar, violet sky

Native 'Queen of the night' flower
Scents reminiscent of a time & place
Her smile has blessed him

Sun seasoned
Ephemeral spirit

Divine princess...
To know her is to swim
in her eternal
Grace

Thank you Phil. Yes it has several names. It's quite popular in many tropical parts of the world.

A poetic encapsulation of imagery; I can just picture this woody-stemmed exotic plant in all its glory (also called as Angel’s Trumpet). Great write … :-)
