Dreams of Love

Dreams of Love

A Poem by Amanda
"

a collaboration with The Lost Rose

"

Dreams of Love

I want to be wrapped

In your arms forever

And dream the dreams of love.

You captured my heart,

Enlightened my soul

With your kind and gentle ways.

You should exist between my arms

And the faithful beats of my heart

Eternity is not long enough, my love,

To enjoy in the gift of

Waking up next to God’s

Greatest creation.

The love we share deepens

With each passing day,

Experiencing each moment spent

Glorying in the soft glowing light

Content with being together

Though we are far apart.

“For You, My Love”

“I Will Be Your Shelter”

Because you are now my “Heart & Soul”

I will continue to pray nightly

That I become the next inspiration,

For your love poem.

You are always in my thoughts,

My inspiration with love

Soothing my fears of the past,

Helping me become what

I am meant to be,

A better, much stronger me.

What matters most

Is that you feel secure,

You feel adored

And that you understand

I want you for every tomorrow

There is to come.

With you I want to be,

Your fantasy embodied…

Together, heart and mind,

Body and soul…fulfilled

Letting the magic of our eternal light

Shine brilliantly…

Our vows written poetically in sync

Sends me mentally

To the end of my fantasies

With us becoming God’s chosen

Dream of LOVE.

What a beautifully inspired poem. The two of you work really well together. It is as if it is one voice. If only...I could believe in love like this again.

Well, I was going to drone on and on about how well this piece came out, but it looks like several people have already told you. Ah, what the hell, Ill say it anyway. You two work very well together. The content is much lighter than I usually find myself enjoying, but you know me, I like the dark stuff. I could not tell where one stopped and the other began, which is always the sign of a good collaboration. Flawless...seamless, just a couple of words I would use to describe this work of art. I hope that this is the first of many. Thanks for asking me to read this.

Could love this strong possibly be real? You two make me think it could be. Fantastic work together, it sounded like one voice all the way through. The emotions in this poem went deep into my soul... :)

So much deep feeling. Would make love song lyric of quality. Verses 5 and 6 would be a superb lullaby. Good to see the Love theme treated with maturity! Well done.

Awe, a poetic justice for those that wait a long grueling 16 hours to meet. That twinkle in the eye, smell of fresh perfume, and the invisible gown that waits the imaginationoh what dreams are made of. Very much worth waiting for. This is a wonderfully written and enticing poem. Nice Collab

Beautiful, smooth and caressing words.. velvet on silk sheets. Lovely..

You are always in my thoughts,

My inspiration with love

Soothing my fears of the past,

Helping me become what

I am meant to be,

A better, much stronger me.

That was amazing. Such a fine poetry. You should write more collaborative works like this, you know. It's simply GREAT!!
I loved the lines which were so simple and yet, carried a very deep meaning to the words. Romance was overflowing in your writing. *smiles*
Very well written, keep it up!! :)
