A Poem by Annette Pisano Higley

Can we be noble
As predators feed on us,
Can we still forgive?

You are more than welcome Annette.
Predators eat when they are hungry, act to their instinct, but humans eating each others flesh and spirit, I think animal can be more noble than many humans, I forgive, but not forget, just to learn and carry the lesson to the future with me, sad but great piece.

Thank you for your time and review!
Another thought provoking poem. It reminds me of this quote: To err is human, to forgive divine definition. All people commit sins and make mistakes. God forgives them, and people are acting in a godlike (divine) way when they forgive. This saying is from “An Essay on Criticism,” by Alexander Pope.
You are right to question – forgiving the predator, can be harder than we think! :-)
