Count on Me

I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow
as the skies turn from day to night
carrying me away in the woeful wind.
Though I do know if you’re standing
next to me that’s where I’ll be for
wherever you are is just where
I want to be.

 

If I never tell you how I feel
I’ll surely live to regret it
as can’t let you slip away
for my heart will never let go.
My love you can surely count on
as I’ll be whatever you need.
I’ll be you umbrella when the clouds
cry rain, I’ll be the bright sun
to dry all the tears away.
You can count on my love.

 

Beautiful brown eyes reflect shades
from green to blue coloring my black
and white world. Brown eyes of tree
trunks in green eyes of soft lush grass
to blue eyes of a bluer sky
where the sun shines sweet
warm rays all day.

 

Everywhere you are your smile brings
hope as wherever you are is just where
I want to be. So when you feel like
your hope is fading to a stream of tears
you can count on my love as I’ll be whatever
you need. I’ll be your cook to save you
from hunger, I’ll be your band-aid to heal
you from your wounds. With me, you’ll never
be rejected as I’ll be your sun to shine
bright on all your days.

 

You can go your whole life waiting
for that special someone to
come your way to set a hand
in yours as I will go
my whole life waiting for you
to take my hands in holding yours;
I’ll wait forever more.

 

You color my world in so many ways
as your smile is the sun brightening
my darkened days. Stand next to me
for wherever you are is just where
I surely want to be. With me,
you’ll never be rejected as I’ll wait
for you forever.
A friend here you’ll always have,
you can always count on my love.
