Silly Love

Silly Love

A Poem by Angelica

Silly one-liners spew
from the mouths of foolish boys.
They love me they say, love not I say.
Drool drips from quivering lips
when I ask why they love me so.

Love of foolish boys
is as hollow as an empty shell.
They know not of love, but lust,
lust that combusts into kids having kids.
I will not fall down that path

though I’m a lovesick loony.
I fell for the one guy who holds
love dear to his heart as it pumps
through his veins for another;
I'm waiting forever for the only one.
