To Adam

To Adam

A Poem by Emily Rose
"

This can be interpreted a number of ways. It's sort of personal to me, but it could also be viewed as Eve's looking at the Biblical Adam.

"

You know,
sometimes, when I ask you a provocative question,
one to which you know the answer
(the long, complex, indefinite answer),
your voice will glimmer with incandescence:
that silver light beaming straight from the Elysian fields,
the eternal realm of the philosophers and great poets,
will possess you, and your words, deliberate and well-
chosen – spoken somewhere between an intense whisper
and a passionate cry – will brim with untold wonder
and captivating, furious delight.
I like that.

As below, the ending was brilliant. Well done!

This is very, very good. In fact, it's perfect. I could almost see "Adam", and I know people just like that.

The words "I like that." at the end were perfect.
