Tears of Longing

Tears of Longing

A Poem by gladys aily

Maybe I do not deserve what they have. Longing for the impossible things too; I admit I also want to be loved. However they don't even have a clue. Questioned myself what wrong things I have done; Already moved on with the painful past, Yet wishing to have whom I can call "my man". If it's God's will, his love will surely last. Heartaches, doubts don't want to feel anymore; I hide my tears but I hope he can see. Despite of the pain, I know I will soar, To tell to myself, "I've already been free!" I just never wanted to be hopeless Because crying again would be a mess.

Interesting read.. I skimmed a few others but they were more like a journal and I was hoping to find a poem or two.
I see some rhyming in here..Of course free verse poetry doesn't need to rhyme..
So, it sounds like you found the right one!! That is great.
