This poem depicts the emotions of a boy who has fallen for any girl for the first time, whom he wants to tell about it and he wants to know if she also feels something for him. He wishes it's a YES...

The day I learnt, that there are four chambers in my heart,

I myself alloted, three to my dearest ones,

It is the fourth one, that needed a start,

For which I realised, that you were the only one.

So, today, I present this as token of my love,

And if you are willing to accept, then please say YES...

Over the years, as I saw myself grow,

in the shadows of my parents, the best two,

Then suddenly a light fell on me,

under which my own shadow grew...It was actually You.

Today I feel that it's this shadow of my own that'll help,

so, if you are willing to be the light, then please say YES...

I wonder and wonder, what could have been so unique,

what I looked for in my love,

whether there was an answer to my needs,

Then it was You, who just passed by.

Today I feel the answer lies in You,

And if you are willing to walk with me through, then please say YES...

Its the dreams, the sweetest ones,

in which you come like an angel flying by,

I wish you stayed, stayed on forever,

but the wish ends with the end of the dream.

Today that wish, that dream is what beats in my heart,

It's quite hard for me to tell, what lies in future,

what the life has in store for us,

whether world would be a kind teacher.

But then, there will be you.

Today I promise to devote all my time for your happiness

and if You are willing to share your time with me, then please say YES...

It's a YES I am looking for, but it's not something that's forced at all,

I do expect an honest answer,

and YES is not the only thing that I am prepared to hear,

It's You and always You, whose happiness is foremost to me.

So, today I confess that I LOVE YOU,

and if you are willing to find happiness in me, then please say YES !
