Lost Dream

I think this could easily be my favourite piece of writing because it something that was pretty much me for a long long time.

Everytime I turn on the tv

Your out there and I can't avoid it

Tears creep up my eyes

But I'm an expert at hiding it

 

I know now

I'm never going to be over it

No matter how hard I lie to myself

I can't denie it

Im stuck in a moment

And it was never meant to last

 

I've turned a blind eye

For a while now

But I always come crawling back

How can I forget it

When I'm still tangeled up

 

I'm under some sort of spell

The posion it just tastes so good

And I don't want to be set free

 

I just can't help but want to feel it

Noise surrouding

Eyes watching

Hearts pounding

Hope fluttering

 

I wish I could have it

Its getting really hard keeping faith now

And I'm impatient

I promise I would never let it go

 

This path that I've taken

I must walk alone

Daydreaming the days away

Praying for a better a day

Author's Note

I think I'm starting to really see how I feel about something that was so important to me. It was my life and I slowly lost it. But now it feels like it was stolen from under my feet. And what hurts the most is that I know I was made for it. But now at least I guess i realize why I feel this way everynow and then. It was a big part of me and now its gone, lost forever.

My heart tell me this was a dream the poet had of playing a sport. I can relate to this because my heart still cries out to sing. I love this piece and we can never give up hope.
