For you.

For you.

A Poem by ~amanda~
"

I wrote this after reading my favorite Bukowski poem.

"

This is for you.
Because your words scream at me every time I try to clear my head.
I want to write something that inspires you,
The way you inspire me.

This is for you.
Because I love the way you write about fog,
And loneliness.
And I wish I was the one who kept you safe and warm.

This is for you.
Because you spend your nights waiting,
You wait for girls to flock to your bed,
And wait for the world to pass you by and forget you,
So you can sit inside your house writing poetry,
That in thirty years will inspire girls like me.

This is for you.
Because you are dirty,
And uncouth.
Because you hurt my eyes with your words.
And I love to be hurt by you.
You do it in all the right ways.
You leave me in total darkness,
And find me again walking by a crying bridge.

This is for you.
Because you give me a fondness for alcohol.
You give me almost made up poems,
And naked women fawning over you.
But most of all you give me poetry.

This is for you.

This is very mellow and it feels like you are pouring yourself out to this person, admitting even the not so pretty things you like in this person. I enjoyed reading it.

Don't lose sight of the fact that he can manipulate your soul with the same ease with which he manipulates adjectives, my dear. If he could relate to people, he would, rather than spewing his pent-up anger onto a pageHe writes about fog because he is lost and afraid. He writes about loneliness because he has been hurt too often, and has forsworn human company, lest they hurt him again. RUN, child, RUN!!

I love this! It's really honest and doesn't have all of the usual cliche sentences I usually read when I read poetry. Great write!

This honestly reminded me of Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. (The speaker discussing the person of interest that is.)
I like how the speaker is basing their entire world around someone who only shows enough interest just for showing interest, and it drives them insane!!
Anyways, this was a very interesting read, I look forward to more.

Oh my, how do I review this bitter sweet piece of writing?! Beneath the hurt and near panic is love and that's not an easy love.

if this is fact, it's tragic; if it's fiction, you've created a monster who means almost too much to bear.

Finely written.. it made my spine tingle.
