The Boiling Point of Blood

The Boiling Point of Blood

A Poem by Jason Henry
"

wrath, rage, etcetera!

"

68.3 degrees betrayal.

20.7 degress abuse.

11 degrees miscellaneous,

But no trace of fear nor remorse:

The formula for invincibility.

There is no running during the ravage;

No fleeing

During the fight.

The fuel for school shootings,

Suicide bombers.

They passed the anger threshold

Unleashing the enthralling dimension

Upon the innocent.

Inquiry of a freezing point -

None exists.

It can be cooled not quenched.

For when this blood boils,

The world will be seared.

This poem is an interesting measure of some o those negative things in life. One thing's for sure, this is some really provocative writing. Anger is often a misunderstood emotion. But here, it is beautifully expressed. I actually wanted to read between the lines. "Boiling Point of Blood".... Perfect title.

Wow, I haven't read such a perfect poem lately. I really like the beginning of this poem, that you used degrees for each negative matters in associating with others.

i do have to agree with Angel's Lady. you deserve an ovation. there seems to be a scientific reasoning here, behind the actions of individuals that drive them to do the hateful and scary things they do. i like it, its a different approach. and i love your first 3 lines= brilliant!

mmm! I love the way that ends... !

~/* attempts to remain cooled */~

This whole piece is very succinct and impactful ((which apparently isn't a word, but I'm going to use it anyhow!)) Nice. More than nice. :)

I like it! Good work on the whole thing. I can't break it down, I love how you made the formula and its description at the begining, and then how you told of it's relevance to our world! Good job, Cheers and Congrats!

Wow!! That's great - I love the creativity here. It really paints an image, and the opening lines are my favorite!! "The formula for invincibility" Tou che. Also, the closing line leaves a lasting impression, with me, at least. The poem in general really gets your mind turning. thank for sharing!! God bless.
