Excessively Shadowing

Excessively Shadowing

A Poem by Jason Henry
"

its not stalking...its excessive shadowing!

"

Tethering on the periphery of light

Will render my toil useless in the end.

Silent, yet relentlessly,

I'm watching your every step.

Believe:

That isn't wind on the back of your neck.

You feel it, gale force

Because I'm hyperventating.

Lurking in the vicinity of vision

Shall expose me.

The pain of not knowing you -

Insurmountable.

I may have an illness, addiction.

Lovesickness, yet sick of love.

Caught in the paradox which cannot

compare to the quintessence bathing before me.

Delicately watching the delicate.

In your backyard tree.

An ominous cloud.

Bushes blush incognito.

The omnipresent gale force wind,

That always reeks of lust.

It is SOOOOOOO stalking! I love this, it's so true! It's an obsessive, all encompassing feeling, this lust, is it not? I'm really digging the title, too. Your friend chose well. Nicely done JA :)

what a wonderful surrealistic... dream-like poem....it sought to / Will render my toil useless in the end.
Silent, yet relentlessly,"-----especially here. Then your irrational juxtaposition of images, like here: "Lurking in the vicinity of vision / Shall expose me. / The pain of not knowing you - / Insurmountable. "

Here I loved the elements of suprise: "Bushes blush incognito. / The omnipresent gale force wind, / That always reeks of lust." It is also a poem about a voyeur but here I see him positivelly. A wonderful composition. thx for reading and liking my new poem AIR. Be well, Lara Gandr

Amazing wording :) I loved the lines "Lovesickness, yet sick of love.

Caught in the paradox which cannot

compare to the quintessence bathing before me."

Nice twisting and turning. An ode to lust, our fearless friend that keeps us dancing on the end of the line (literally). Love the last verse very much. I also like
That isn't wind on the back of your neck.

You feel it, gale force

Because I'm hyperventating.

Good stuff
