I saw a smile perfect

I saw a smile perfect

A Poem by Shane Brooks

elusive as a memory
as I hold to you and you melt to me
lets hear a scream for the maladjusted
who among you will run with the hunted
pure bliss
the touch of your hand
the look in your eye
you know I understand

if the moment moves me
you can see right through me
just as my sight grows distant
so like a cloud
the whole world fades out
a voodoo child forgot to cry
life
it's a crime
lie
like blood and oil
you
are such a sight
it's so cold
in this world

To be able to look at someone without speaking a word, and know that person understands you - non-replaceable. Comes once in a lifetime. I felt this in your first stanza.

A poem with a bittersweet feel to it!

Well composed and touching. I've always wished a guy would see me as so, but I'm not a beauty. Oh well.

Amazing images and strange twists. I like this poem. I've never felt this way when looking at any one!
