Acrostic

Acrostic

A Poem by Exa Lectric

Zip through the sky all day and night

Amazing creatures fly through the sky

Blue, black and red from time to time

Cautious when they approach

Drinking from streams and puddles

Every one is a wonder

Flying high they soar through the clouds

Gradually landing on trees nearby

Huge and small, they come in all sizes

I watch them all day long

Joyful, they make me feel

Kings from above, I always say

Leaving no room for others to play

Mean ones poop on your lawn

Nice ones sit on your shoulder

Orange ones, do they exist?

Precious creatures

Queer as they are, I love them

Rude people are not forgiving

Some seem to be too hard to imagine

Truly different than land creatures

Utterly preposterous! some will exclaim

Very soft feathers of all different types

Without them, these creatures could not fly

X-rays can show how small their bones are

You must be careful not to break one’s wing

Zipping through the sky all day and night

I think this poem is an absolute delight. Lends color to something boring. Great visual appeal and a good acrostic. Unique too!!
Excellent job!:)
