Waking

Waking

A Poem by Sincerely, Alex
"

I came up with this at one in the morning while falling asleep, talking to my boyfriend. It is about him, obviously. <3

"
Waking

I wake
tangled
in your jacket
the one
that brings smiles
to my face
when you wear it
the one
that comforts
in knowing
that you
gave it to
me
in the darkness
of my room
I search for
you
I want
to clasp your hand
and pull you
in my
seas of sheets
like a siren
I want
to captivate
you
the next time
I wake
I want
to be
tangled
in
you

Fast, sweet and adorable. I like the way you begin and end the piece with tangling. I also think it is lovely and makes a nice connection to the reader that it ends with the word "you."

The rhythm was slightly choppy because of the way you separated the lines, but that's just my opinion. Despite that, I really liked it
