Private Play

Private Play

A Poem by Alisa Js

there were two of us as I remember
out on that scraggly limb
counting down deliberately,
as precious moments tiptoed by
and we?
laughed as we usually did
scrunching our noses up at anyone who
stood beside the rising tide

we were like that back then
running roughshod without regard
for consequences
after the shows
no one around
to run out of town

free flowing
liquid snow,
without a care
we double-dared anything
to stand in our way.
we had it made
you and me

private play...

Aloha Jacob,

Thank you for your kind and encouraging comments. I am touched.

Been working on an illustrated children's book, titled... Let's Learn Manners, but took a break today.

Will be by soon,

alisa ;-)

i love this....and am so glad to read you again.

i feel that friendship here..that bond between two people that cannot be broken....and all that is shared between the two privately....those are special friends...the ones that are so special we share that which we would not share with anyone else...

i like the separation of the last line...that works so well...like it has its own privacy.
