A Poem by Alisa Js

the attraction was completely scurrilous
skating around edges with unbelievable breach
as the music slowed,
how could we believe in forever?

there was a rise in the madness that ensued
crying for hours while pounding for clues,
nothing held beyond the second wind
and yet we persisted,
in spite of

certain betrayal
that tissue of lies.

it's never easy in hindsight
with all of the facts laid bare
shaking with stage fright

there was an answer
we never discovered,
guess it was better
at
random...
