splattered

splattered

A Poem by Alisa Js

when did I decide
to live in tomorrow,
yesterday keeps slapping
yet
never getting further than

hello...

this scar is subterranean
and still can't absorb
what I see right before me.
not yet
what I want to believe

how could it...

when I gave it all for you
stood in the path of certain damnation,
left my soul
standing,
while fighting the signal to flee ...

Nothing repels love faster than hidden scars. We want to connect, but those nicks and cuts to the psyche stand in the way. Time, it is said, 'heals all wounds'. We can hope 'it wounds all heels' as well.
Good write, Alisa.
