I Wonder

I Wonder

A Poem by Alisa Js

will I miss the shuffle of your steps
as they pass into eternity,
the smacking of lips
the icy glare of your stare
as you twist the truth
making it all about you,
I don't exist.

how sad we can’t speak the truth
without irrational repercussions,
threatening accusations
an unintended consequence.
hidden agendas finally revealed
heart stopping statement of fact

I should have known
I’ve always known,
only found it so hard to believe...

Thank you, Avie.., I will be by soon
Beautiful detailed descriptions that still sound like genuine and natural speech. I love that it's a question and not a weak, self-pitying voice. Really liked it.
