You decide

could you love me
I mean, really love completely
with everything we know now,
at this place
with these hearts.
would we
find that fire we so often speak of
dream about
and desire more than anything
next to life itself

would you saunter into my world
and stay awhile
taste the ecstasy
anticipating
or
would you return
to yours,
so familiar
and yet, so lonely...

"Could You, Would You"

What a beautiful place of question. What do people need? We look for and desire meaning. The poem was an opportunity to think about this essence which keeps life worth living.
To give, to recieve in community or individually is so needed by all.
Without love your last line is what is left:
"would you return
to yours'so familiar
and yet, so lonely...
This last line also reminded me that we must always, always, always never give up. For loneliness is not a fun place to be.
