Seasons of Reason

Seasons of Reason

A Poem by Alisa Js

they gather about with great swilling words
lines that border on ridiculous,
promises that live in other worlds
and still, they expect me to believe

and you,
you are the one who remains
peeking around each secret wish,
never spoken.
the last thought at night in this empty bed

where we dance upon whiskers of twilight
leap beyond boundaries with a single thought,
live lifetimes eternal inside this dream
where impossible bows to anything now

everything is sublime
a reason to be
if only, this time...

'Seasons of Reason'
Alisa Js,
Their is a world of lies around us. Who do we listen to, believe, trust? Within your first stanza:
"promises that live in other worlds
and still they expect me to believe."
This personal realization within the quiet of inner soul God does not lie and is our best friend above all.
I found the ending beautiful:
"where we dance upon whiskers of twilight
leap beyond boundaries with a single thought,
live lifetimes eternal inside this dream
where impossible bows to anything now'
Here is faith....
'everything is sublime
a reason to be
if only, this time...
Blessings,
Kathy

~ wow... i could sing this heartsong forever... the tone and tenor of the narration is powerfully poignant... i think that maybe your posts that have this particular font and font colour have a poetic voice that is very haunting...
