Bored.

Bored.

Poem - ATC

"

I’m so bored.

Everyone around me is a nincompoop.

And there’s nothing to do.

Whatever I do I’ll get addicted to it… until I get bored.

I’m poor.

Everyone around me is a responsible adult.

I have nothing to do.

Whenever I have money I’ll spend it… until I have no more.

And I'm bored.

I’m drunk.

Everyone around me is also drunk.

It passes the time.

Whenever I am drunk I have sex… or pass out on the floor.

I’m sad.

Everyone around me is also sad.

Time passes slowly.

I’m so f*****g bored of life I don’t want it anymore.

sometimes I feel bored, or tired, or just being foolish.... its a quite mixed of sad emotions... I guess it is only natural to feel this way. After all we are humans, being us, we do foolish things, then get tired and bored easily... i guess it is just a matter on how we pick up ourselves and go on with the next thing up ahead, its about the journey we go through... we keep on searching in what to enjoy about life.

very expressive piece!

Life isn't always fun and frolics. If you accept that 6 days a week you'll be bored with work, with home, with those around you, then on the last day you can go bananas. To be so bored a such a young age would suggest that all is not well within your social group.
this is a very revealing poem. Well written and thought out.
Question: How can one so bored write such a telling piece ?
More like this please.

Wow mad englishman great review thanks!
Nincompoop, that is the operative word, the character in the poem recognizes the short falls but continues the same behavior, go for a walk in the woods , along the beach, along a lake, take a train ride, take a boat ride, dont watch the news, live live live............

Thank you dear :)
The inner struggle I think fought by many people on a daily basis. Your poem hits with a strong clear message that change is sought, but perhaps not knowing quite what or how in this world we live. I can relate to these words, brilliant poem.

I remember being in Paris, just walking around the street artists and musicians. Amazing!
It was frivolous and fun, then the last verse ended really abruptly and quite sad. Good Poem I just wished it had ended on a happier note. Enjoy your work.

Interesting read. Nice structure used. The content is strongly presented. So I interpret that boredom may lead to suicide? Ouch... Can there be another escape from boredom...
