The Serial Tattooist.

The Serial Tattooist.

Poem - ATC

"
The thing I like most about the gun...
Is the bleeding, not the outcome.
Pain paid for and scarred.
Oh how I adore the groaning,
Moaning as I piercingly sink ink right into the skin.

Harmless harm really,
They close their eyes
Try to shut it out, not to feel
As I go in deeper push harder with my sharpest needle.
An Artist they call me,
Well so was Jack the Ripper

I loved this wholeheartedly. Seeing the serial tattooist as an artist who loves to bring a little bit of fun into his masterpieces...a little bit of pain that is for the "victim." Well they asked for it! I like the ending lines, a nice punch in the face...comparing the serial tattooist to Jack the Ripper.

Interesting, I like how deep you manage to take such a simple concept. It gives a lot of character to the artist.

Thanks a bunch :):)
Cool poem, as another reviewer said, makes you think in a different way. I was nervous for my first tattoo, created some fear and anxiety around it on my own... "Was the tattooist going to hurt me intentionally?" Turns out it was all in my head... The first time, I went back to the same tattooist for #2 and 3, and each time he seemed to enjoy finding my pain threshold. You poem captures my experience well. I have avoided certain doom by not going back for a 4th time! :) Great job!!

A interesting description of the tattooist. I never experience pain. I had the nice tattooist. This is a hard job. No room for mistake. Thank you my friend for sharing the excellent poetry.

I also have a hawk, it's what my poem "Harris" is about as the tattoo goes across my heart.

Hawks are very cool. Can live anywhere.
Oh, I had to gasp at the end, it was such a good way to compare it and it really makes you think in a different way. I really liked seeing what this was about, it's creepy actually.

Thanks Emily I really appreciate your reviews :)
Very ominous. I like the comparison to Jack the Ripper as an artist because it is different kind of beauty than I am used too. Its not bad at all and makes curious about its writer. (Not the author but the Tatooist.)
