Who

Who

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

am I

"

Who?

I don't know when I saw you last
Did you know Julius Ceaser?
I'm struggling for your name
Is it Marilyn Monroe?
I get it you are Eve, Adam's mate,
You like apples, huh?
Maybe I'm confused
Lost in the shuffle
Anyway I saw Christ the other day
he was hanging from a cross.
Did you know Christ?

Thanks Doodley! I am often visited by the confusion in semantics. Did history get everything right since is was ages ago or did historians piece something together that made sense. There is so little archeological evidence about the history of Christ on Earth and the myth of Adam & Eve just might add to the confusion since scientist discovered evolution.

An interesting poem, Al!

Very different to what i have read here. A kind of puzzle in poetic verse. Very original!
I thought long and hard, and i couldn't work out the "who" which you are referring to in this poem. I guess only you really need to know the answer. Keep the masses guessing.
I also wonder if there is an underlying theme in this poem, a reference to losing one's memory?
A very original piece of writing.

It's the price you pay for walking around atmospheric space.

Thanks Jacob!

Al
