a boom in silence

a boom in silence

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

let the snow fall

"

a boom in silence

a boom in silence

Alaska to Maine

north snow falls

an inch then maybe ten more

who’s watching the snowflakes

over in a rival town a combo

of fireflies and snowflakes bring

more silence to the picture

finally………Ha! exudes in the

excitement.

The barrier broken temptation

scatters around the living mouths

it’s one hundred years later and yet

no one has uttered a sound

the shovels & plows keep moving

as the fireflies make a song.
