The Given Day

The Given Day

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz

this is a several billion year event

The Given Day

I've done the homework of sleep
I rise into the consciousness of day
I turn to that lasting moment of dawn
It's power
It's light
In my own feebleness I bow
to a universe of another given day.

Thanks Jacob!

The brilliance of the universe and its reliability is astounding.

even with all that is going on in our world, in NY etc...all the ugly...there are new dawns, and a universe to appreciate...and this poem is a positive among it all...
thanks for it, Al.
