renaissance

renaissance

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

who me?

"

renaissance

sift the day into particles of dreams
much is gained in the smallness of the article
i venture into now’s gift
slowly the hum of my voice unseats consciousness
naked of thought, the ear bends into the fidelity of a whisper
i can only mona lisa smile as i veer into my own portrait’s renaissance.
as decades pass this moment will vaporize into the man i am.

Comes a time when being your own reflection matters more than.. and being self is the most important of all roles. Perhaps?

like the way you try to capture the essence of mona lisa as part of renaissance, the metaphors used are amazing.

and especially the "Mona Lisa" line....that is good stuff....
