the music of snow

the music of snow

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

12” in spring

"

the music of snow

the music of snow
landscape falling from the sky
one inch, maybe two
how ‘bout a foot
shovels abound
motors turning
neighbor seeing neighbor
oh a universal goal
reshape a fallen landscape
let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Thanks Doodley!

the walk in the woods exhausted me. finally we hit the neighborhood where walking becomes easy!

Thanks Kelly!

jackson rolls in the snow. it’s quite funny watching him. when we get back from a walk i direct him to the front yard so he can roll again. yesterday it snowed while we walked, i felt like innocence was reining down on me at age 69 i turned that yesterday.

regards,
al

All our news reports downunder have been raving about all the snow you guys have been having up there. Snowstorms, cold snaps, the works. And as usual the global warming enthusiasts are still trying to push their cause!

This write has a youthful joyousness to it that made me think perhaps you are quite at home making snow angels in the snow!

Enjoy the rest of winter, Al. For it will all melt away soon enough.

I enjoyed the piece.

Now, that's a first for that much snow in March, isn't it? I always enjoyed hearing the "crunch" of it as I went walking. Funny, the things you remember. Wish I were there to enjoy it with you! Does Jackson love it?
