wow

apocalyptic beauty

i could have warned you about the wonder
living inside tree trunks but when you
embraced the sky i felt magic’s birth
was given to your soul.

here we stay, together in our separation,
peeking inside wonder’s window
our ears enchanted by the sounds of its content
a near organism of our minds
splitting infinities among ancient walkways

surely you heard wonder’s wayward words
the eclipse of reason expanding beyond consciousness
the imagination literally burning in the soul
our hands and hearts together
living by a brand of apocalyptic beauty.

Definitely the best poem of yours I’ve read so far. Sometimes I’m a little mystified by your writing, but here you’ve gone full whimsical, yet I can follow the storyline with ease. I love outlandishness that conveys something interesting, fun, & imaginative. I love the way you play with word sounds & still delivering strong meaning with your wordplay.
