oh soul

oh soul

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

my buddy

"

oh soul

why in such a familiar place to hide
i expose my wandering
missed in conception, riddled by circumstance,
i find the flight of soul fresh
even among dark clouds
oh soul be with me in forever
let the keenness of our dwelling
not miss any joys and wonders
follow me please to my last breath.

Yunno i read a book, as a child, where the setting was of a parallel universe where everyone had their souls in the form of an animal who stayed with them always ...this poem kinda reminded me of that story...and going by the way you've written this, your soul sounds like a big fluffy happy labrador... 😅

thanks sami!

i was about to rise from the chair when these words pushed me back into a sitting position and somehow echoed “write”.

An amazing prayer and dialogue between the poet and the inner soul full of struggle and hoping. You are an inspirational soul...
