To unconditional bliss.

So close to becoming one with you

From intimate caresses to earth shattering romances.

 

I was that close to the point of no return

Close to craving you

Imagining an existence of euphoric torture

Close to the nectar that drips from you.

 

I was that close to craving you.

Addicted to your essence

So close to erratic fantasies of erotic pleasure

I was that close to heaven.

 

Close to knowing my souls reflection.

Experiencing true passion

Divulging in convulsions of pure ecstasy

So close to the image of my heart

Unleashing desires of my destiny.

 

I was closing on the win---encountering the finish line

Rounding the terms of despair

Climbing the hills of loneliness.

 

I was that close to discovering perfection.

Of being mesmerizing by your ambitions

Hypnotized by your intentions.

 

I jumped the last hurtle.

Raced to the ribbon

Reached and grasped the prize

 

I opened my eyes…
