Megan is trying to get my attention, along with Emily, but I ignore them and sit, pouting. This is very unlike me, but I’m having a bad day. A bad day that’s about to get worse*

 

*My phone rings*

 

Me: Hello?

 

Doctor: *on the other end* I’m sorry.

 

ME: *is confused* For what?

 

Doctor: For abandoning you.

 

Me: You didn’t abandon me.

 

Doctor: I’m about it.

 

Me: What are you talking about?!

 

Doctor: I have to leave for a while. And I’m assuming you don’t want to come, because you and your friends are part of a crucial investigation of your friends at the moment.

 

Me: *sighs* Where are you going?

 

Doctor: Duty calls.

 

Me: Okay. Dating hazard, right?

 

Doctor: You got it.

 

Me: Hurry back, okay?

 

Doctor: I will.

 

Me: I… I love you.

 

Doctor: I love you too. *hangs up*

 

Me: *practically drops the phone* *groans* This day is getting WORSE and WORSE.

 

Jocelyn: And it’s about to get worse.

 

Me: *is surprised because she came out of nowhere* What?

 

Jocelyn: *gestures to the fact that it’s nighttime. Wow, I lost track of the time!* We’re going to hotel to sleep through the night, then we’re taking back up on the case again.

 

Me: Um, okay. Why is that bad? We need sleep, anyway.

 

Jocelyn: We’re not paired with each other.

 

Me: …elaborate?

 

Jocelyn: How do I put this… Girls are paired with guys.

 

Me: WHAT?! You can’t do that! Girls have to be paired with girls. Otherwise, things will just… happen.

 

JJ: *overhears* Sorry.

 

Me: Well, who’s paired with who?

 

JJ: Megan’s paired with Gideon.

 

Me: Of course.

 

JJ: Jocelyn’s paired with Reid.

 

Me: I saw that coming.

 

JJ: I’m paired with Morgan.

 

Me: Err, okay.

 

JJ: Prentiss is paired with the Doctor.

 

Me: Who’s absent. That means… Oh hell.

 

Jocelyn and JJ: You’re paired with Hotch.

 

Me: S**t.
