The Woman Who Got Away

The Woman Who Got Away

A Poem by alternative_be
"

Second Poem in a Set of Three

"

Incarcerated in the cold dungeon

Called one sided love

Restraint

Stronger than balls and chains

Praying for wire shears

They just might do the trick

Is not that sick?

Cutting her own way

Finally free

Up and away

Just as I thought. These poems all relate to each other. I was married at seventeen.. Much too young..
It did not take much time for him to stray and leave but it can take a lifetime to cut away those invisible wires and scars that keep one emotionally bound. shallimarRose
