Lemon Juice

A Story by Lady Alyria

“Are you sure this is going to work?” Stacy asked her boyfriend as she took another sip of the lemon juice and frowned.

“Yes,” Mark replied, “I heard my brother telling his friend that if you ever get a girl pregnant to have her drink a lot of lemon juice and that will make her lose the baby.” He spoke with complete confidence. Mark was much smarter than most people at school. Sometimes Stacy thought he knew everything. Had she not listened to him in the first place, they wouldn’t have been in such a mess. Pregnant at such a young age. She took another sip of her lemon juice.

“Well, Casey and Robert did it, and Casey did not get pregnant.” Stacy argued.

“Casey is too young. She can’t get pregnant yet.” Mark had an answer for everything. That is what Stacy loved about him. It’s also what she hated. He had informed her that she was pregnant. He knew just from looking at her and he also knew that lemon juice would fix the problem.

“Do you think the lemon juice worked yet? I can’t have a baby! When it’s ten, I will be…” Stacy counted on her fingers. “eighteen!”

Mark looked at the cup of lemon juice. It was half gone.  Then he looked Stacy in the eyes as if he was a doctor examining her. “Yes, we got rid of the baby, you aren’t pregnant anymore.”

Stacy sighed in relief. “You know, I'm never kissing you again.”

LMAO. Ok this is a great short story.

"Had she not be listening to him in the first place..."

"Be" should be "been" but outside that what a funny story. At first I was like, "Man is she stupid to fall for something like that.' Then I was in the ,"Either he isn't bright either or he is very slick.' mode of thought. Certainly has the 'O' moment when at the end you realize these are a pair of 8 year olds doing this. lol. Very nice read. Makes me smile.
