GROWING UP

A Poem by andrew mitchell

From your first experience in life
Your first brick is laid
And more bricks will follow
Until your foundation is made.

This is strong and very true and great imagery! I have never heard it put this way before. Its always painted in a negative light how you build a wall around your heart because you are bitter or too scared to trust or love again. This however creates a strong foundation on which to start your life! love it

"GROWING UP"
Andrew Mitchell,
A sweet little poem which gives
the feeling of our innocence
when we are wee ones and
the blank sheet just waiting for
musical notes to set our hearts to
singing.
"and more bricks will follow
until your foundation is made."
I enjoyed this because I found
myself thinking of how little
and wonderful children really
are and how we must protect
there hearts.
Blessings,
Kathy

wow thank you kathy.
thats the way to do it ..foundations first ... must know how to keep 'em straight ... with just the right and proper mortar .... not to mention the hand that lays those bricks:) enjoyed reading this tidbit from the book of andrew ;)

This is just a brilliant piece, Andrew.

A simple quartet, so relevant and an excellent metaphor on life and it's journey.

Very neat!

Hi Andrew, Great sentiment expressed here. The foundation of our life is what we build on and what we become at the different stages of out lives. You have expressed this priority so very well, alf
