THOR --- THE POWER OF ONE OVER MANY

THOR --- THE POWER OF ONE OVER MANY

A Poem by andrew mitchell

So my friends give me your hands,
And lets wreak havoc on these lands
Forces of nature hear me now
Lets lose control : the trumpets sound.
Angry gods stamp their grounds
As these pressures build all around;
Hear the roar of Thunder. Crash! Boom!
Demanding space, give him room.
And then there's Lightning, he will strike
With all the light of glorious white.
And with Neptune, seas will rise
To wash those tears from your eyes.
And when you think all is dimmed;
Feel the howl when I call the Wind.
For with my Clouds I will pour;
My Heaven's gate opening the door
To inflict our scorn on the Earth.
Just like those times with the World's birth.
For I'm the ruler of the Seasons,
With my powers I need no reason,
And when my anger finally subsides
I'll give you the Sun with my friends demise.
For when my mischief has been done,
You'll welcome the sight of the rising sun.
For the Sun will chase my friends away,
And you will have a pleasant day.

Hi Andrew. Intertwining mythology, create-ology and wish-ology was a clever plan, my friend. You go out there and wreak havoc across the world and send the sun to apologize??? Your tongue is so going to become a permanent fixture in your cheek!! I can see this poem being ranted in a park somewhere . . . attracting a heap of attention, and all the smiles as the final words are spoken. Well done!! Love this, alf

I enjoyed the poem. Myth and tale is my favorite. I like the story and how you define their power and legend. The poem had a good feel to the words. Giving information with a hones tone. The Gods were not always kind. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
