Nature's concert

Nature's concert

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Gather around folks
Here is nature's score
You won't be disappointed
You may even want some more.

The tree's little wind-chimes
Shimmer in the breeze
Leaves just whispering
Nature's had a sneeze.

The elements band together
the concert Black and White
The concert performed many a time
Even through the night.

Shower"s Pitter Patter
Nature's little drums
Hail's stomping stomping
AAhh! Nature's Irish dance
Its all very quick!.... Its past!

The clouds remain all seated
High in the sky
The symphonic orchestra begins
When Thunder arrives.

The tree's wind-chimes whisper
As the wind cries
Dark brooding clouds applause
Symphonic Thunders arrived.

Lightning flashing flashing
Glorious streaks of white
Nature's only conductor
Giving us a spectacle.
Oh! what a treat!

Crashing crashing Thunder roars
Shaking Nature's foundations
Just Heaven's Gate
Opening her doors.
All the elements excited
Everyone wants more.

Between each song and dance
The Wind howls today
Introducing the next act
Remain seated. Don't go away!

They play through the night
It's all Black and White
The same show they put on
With some surprises...
Hope you get a fright!

The Moon peeks brightly
Nature's night clock
Only between the acts
When the clouds stop.

Snow flakes falling gently
The final curtain falls
Nature's little thank you's
The audience now applauds.

Judged by far away
Light rays from the sun
Nature's biggest audience
The musicians on the run.

And so Nature's concert
Called Black and White
Will be rehearsed again
On another night.
                        ......Tickets please!

Meanwhile next door
I hear....
Turn that bloody music down!

I enjoyed the poem and I do like the sound of nature. Nothing as peaceful as being near the sea and listening to the movement of the sea. To take a long walk into deep forest. Listen to nature and become part of her. I like the complete poem. You led to a good ending. Kids of today lost in the noise of music forget to hear the music of nature. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

And I loved the little surprise at the end lol. :)

This is music with a twist... so well portrayed that I can clearly visualize everything right in the middle of a sunny day.. Great work :)

I'm a favorite of your twists. Your witty mind has created beautiful scenery upon scenery. I can picture everything. You've managed to involve all the senses, trumped at the end by the element of surprise. I liked the use of metaphors and jargon too. :)
